Our Compton 4 Wheel Parts retail store and manager, Jose Lugo, hosted the 2012 King of the Hammers starting order drawing this past Monday, January 9th.

2011 was the first year that Greg Adler welcomed Pirate 4×4 and the KOH team into the corporate offices to draw the starting grid for one of the most brutal and fastest growing off road races in the world. With over 180 names in the drawing this year, including our own Team 4 Wheel Parts members, (Greg Adler, Brent Goegebuer and Eric Anderson), we’re all hoping to get that lucky starting draw.

Looking back on the 2011 drawing we had Rancho’s Bob Willis; Genright’s owner, Tony Peligrino (who finished 2nd in 2011); and even the current reigning King himself, Shannon Campbell in attendance. The event is broadcasted on Pirate 4×4 TV and Ultra4Racing.com. This year the King of the Hammers race will be a week long event. Smittybilt will be hosting their Every Man’s Challenge on Sunday the 5th. The main race qualifying will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday; and the main race starting first light will be on February 10th. Well I wish I could tell you how the drawing turned out but tune into Pirate4x4.com and Ultra4Racing.com to watch the event live on the race day. You can even follow Team 4 Wheel Parts cars on the live satellite tracker with a link provided on these sites.

Team 4 Wheel Parts has been feverishly preparing for the race, new shock upgrades, a new car, lots of testing and hopefully our first win in the Ultra 4 Series. Good luck to everyone in the race and we hope to see you out there.
