Jeremy Komorn

My name is Jeremy Komorn and I am currently the South Texas/Oklahoma Regional Manager of 4 Wheel Parts. I have been with the company going on 14 years, opening and running stores for the company from San Antonio, Texas all the way to Orlando, Florida. I have been in the automotive industry for all my life and I've done everything from installing parts to selling them.

I am not just an employee for 4 Wheel Parts; I am also an enthusiast who loves to take out his Jeep on the trails with my wife, 2 boys (ages 3 and 10), and anybody else who wants to join in. I have taken it wheeling as far as Moab, UT and South Florida. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see me on any given weekend out in Marble Falls, Texas at the Hidden Falls Off Road Adventure Park.

I am also highly involved in local Jeep and off road clubs throughout Texas. I am an Officer in the Wheelers for the Wounded program, which helps those who have been wounded due to serving our great country.

I own a 1999 Jeep Wrangler that I bought new off the showroom and started from there. Here is a list of the current modifications that I have done to it:

I will be adding more to it in the near future and hope you will follow my blogs as they get posted.

If you see something on my Jeep I didn’t mention, leave a comment and I will share who makes it, where it’s located on my Jeep, and how it works!

Also, feel free to stop by my office in Austin, Texas and ask for me. I love to talk Jeep and I can help you build the biggest, baddest Jeep on or off the trail. If you have any questions, you can also email me at Jkomorn@4wheelparts.com.

Smittybilt Tailgate Cover

Being a Jeep owner, I know how valuable any storage is that you can come up with in a Jeep!  Recently, I have discovered the Smittybilt G.E.A.R line of storage.  The concept is so easy and inexpensive.  It’s just a simple seat cover for your rear bench seat that has a series of loops down the back side.

BD Diesel Boost Box

BD Diesel Ford Electronic Turbo Boost Fooler

You read my last blog about the Hypertech HyperPAC and I love that unit, but it’s lacking in one area: the famous Ford 6.0 turbo lag on takeoff is still there. Well, BD Diesel has come out with a quick and simple fix – the Turbo Boost Fooler. What they have designed is a simple relay system to fool your truck’s computer into think it is always getting 6lbs of boost.

Not only do I own a Jeep, but I also have a 2004 Ford Super Duty that I use as a tow rig and a daily driver. I am plagued with the same problem that most everybody in the United States is griping about: the price of gas and diesel fuel going up. I have tried numerous adjustments to minimize my fuel cost including changing the air pressure in the tires, using different fuel additives or synthetic oils, and chaining.

G2 Dana 60s Go Into my Jeep

jk d60 012

My Jeep had a Dana 30 axle with 456 gears and an ARB air locker in the front. The rear was born with a Dana 44 axle and I added an ARB air locker with 456 gears as well. Over time, as my Jeep and I both evolved into the more extreme 4 wheeling, I decided it was time to make my axles and Jeep more bulletproof. I did some extensive research and decided to go with G2 Dana 60 RockJock axles.
