GREG ADLER BATTLES IN UTAH OFF-ROAD SLUGFEST

Compton, California (June 30, 2017) – Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts battled the world’s elite off-road racers on the tight, technical off-road track at Utah Motorsports Campus this past weekend as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series held Rounds 5&6 in Tooele, Utah. Living up to its billing as one of the tightest and most technical courses on the Series’ schedule, the track exacted its toll on Adler and the Pro4 field who diced for valuable positions in the two-day slugfest.

With three Friday afternoon practice sessions leading up to the weekend’s main events allowing Crew Chief, Mike Seat and the veteran team the opportunity to fine tune the 900-HP #10 truck, Adler consistently improved on his lap times throughout the day and as he entered Saturday, his times were among the leaders. The payoff came during Round 5 qualifying Saturday morning which put the top 6 trucks within four tenths of a second, setting up what would be a tightly contested round.

“On this course, you have to battle for every single spot,” said Adler. “We would work our way to lead group, getting as high as third, then we’d run into contact and get shuffled back a few spots. The pace is incredible and you have to scratch, claw and bump your way back up there. Ultimately, we took a hard hit late in the race that kept us out of the running but we passed a lot of cars today. At the end, we were on the lead lap on the move but had to settle for seventh.”

After a technical situation prevented him from recording an official qualifying time, Adler was forced to start at the rear of the pack for Sunday’s weekend Pro4 finale. As the green flag dropped, Adler took off with the roaring Pro4 herd and was quickly occupied with the task of making passes wherever he could. Picking off a number of positions and moving through the field, he was on pace to join the leaders. As the laps were counting down, chaos reigned supreme as nearly the entire field was collected in an incident that left one Pro4 sitting on top of another with the entire race coming to a halt.

“That’s Sunday Lucas Oil Off Road Racing,” said Adler, who somehow made it through the episode unscathed. “We were on the move and then everything in front of us skidded to a stop. We were able to avoid the carnage and when the dust settled we were in fourth place.”

As race officials made the determination to restart the race with just two laps remaining Adler charged through the first corner. Battling with the #37 and his sights set on a podium finish to close out the weekend, he traded on-track jabs as the two fought through the first three corners. Eventually, Adler succumbed and finished as the fourth vehicle to take the checkered flag.

“We battled today,” he said. “The results aren’t always indicative of the weekend but Mike, Dylan (Cochran) and the guys had us ready to attack. In a race like this where the gloves are off and anything can happen, we gave it everything we had. We may not have put the #10 on the podium this weekend but we finished strong and know that we’re starting to get this truck dialed in. We’ll be ready for Wheatland.”

The team now prepares for Rounds 7&8 as the Series heads to Wheatland, Missouri for the Series’ much anticipated inaugural event at Lucas Oil Raceway to be held on July 22-23. Future events include doubleheaders in Reno, Nevada and San Bernardino, CA. before racing returns to Chandler, Arizona for the season finale and the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup.

Throughout the season, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series can be viewed on CBS, CBS Sports Network, MavTV.and LucasOilRacing.TV.

GREG ADLER PRIMED FOR OFF-ROAD ASSAULT IN UTAH

Compton, California (June 21, 2017) – The quiet tranquility of the Tooele Valley just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah will reverberate with the echoes of the world’s fastest off-road trucks as Greg Adler and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rumble into the Utah Motorsports Campus this weekend. With Adler and company arriving to vie for the podium June 24-25, the facility has been transformed into a .9 mile off-road battlefield providing a sharp contrast to the scenic backdrop of the picturesque Oquirrh Mountains in the distance.

Adler and Team 4 wheel Parts land in Utah carrying the momentum of a strong second place result in Round 3 at Estero Beach along with the expectations that come from knowing that both he and Crew Chief, Mike Seat are closer to solving the nuances of the Pro4 thoroughbred that was acquired prior to the 2016 season. With lessons learned from last year’s campaign, the team looks to make their mark on the standings in front of what is expected to be a capacity crowd.

“This is a tight, tricky track and it’s important to get out front then stay away from trouble,” said Adler. “Last year we got mired in the pack and faced our share of challenges here. Since then, we have made some significant improvements to the truck along with switching over to BFG tires and so far, the package looks to be working for us. We know we’re fast and have the truck to compete for a win. Now, we just need to put it all together in Utah.”

Since its opening in 2006, the world class Utah Motorsports Campus facility, formerly known as Miller Motorsports Park, has played host to a variety of two and four wheel events in addition to Lucas Oil Off Road Racing such as the FIM World Superbike Championship, American Le Mans Series, Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and the AMA Superbike Championship.

While the onsite road racing course showcases impressive horsepower, fans continue to show an affinity for the natural brutality of the high flying, high adrenaline action of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing.

“This will be our eighth trip to Tooele and the crowds keep growing each year,” said Adler, who along with his time behind the wheel, heads off-road retailer 4 Wheel Parts as President and CEO. “There is an incredible off-road and outdoor activity culture here in Utah so while this is an opportunity to test performance parts in the most extreme racing environment, it’s also a chance for us to show off the kind of performance these impressive machines are capable of for the fans. It’s going to be an exciting show.”

In addition to this weekend’s event in Tooele, UT., the 2017 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series visits Wheatland, MO. and San Bernardino, CA. before returning to Chandler, Arizona for the season finale and the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup.

For fans that won’t be at Utah Motorsports Campus to catch the action live, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is broadcasted on CBS, CBS Sports Network, MavTV.and LucasOilRacing.TV.
